On Sunday night, the University of Miami football program unveiled its lastest “Miami Nights” uniform.
The new all-black uniform, dubbed “Miami Nights 2.0”, features a wave-like gradient design that transitions from green to orange on the sleeves. While straight gradient stripes go down the sides of the pants with orange toward the front and green toward the back.
The black helmet from the previous “Miami Nights” uniform remains the same with the “U” logo on both sides and green and orange stripes down the middle.
Like last season’s Parley alternate uniform, this uniform is made from repurposed and upcycled materials and uses the same number font, which is meant to resemble the facade of the old Miami Orange Bowl stadium.
It is unknown at this time when the Hurricanes will take the field in the new threads.
Miami is 3-2 in the original all-black “Miami Nights” uniform and 1-1 in uniforms created by repurposed and upcycled materials.
