On Sunday evening, the Louisville Cardinals football program officially introduced throwback uniforms the team will wear on Nov. 20 against Syracuse after teasing an announcement a few days earlier.
The 1950s-style throwback uniform features an all-white helmet with a single dark red center stripe, with no other decals. The red jersey uses white Northwestern stripes on the sleeves and block numbers. On the back of the jersey is a throwback-style Louisville Cardinals patch. The cream-colored pants have a single red stripe going down each side. To complete the look, players can wear red socks with cream Northwestern stripes and gloves featuring a Heisman-posing retro cardinal logo.
