Rockets introduce NASA-inspired City Edition uniform

On Tuesday evening, the Houston Rockets officially unveiled their new City Edition uniform for the 2019-20 season. The white NASA-inspired uniform features many elements that shows the Space City’s relationship with the space program.

The elements include:

  • NASA font for typeface and numbers throughout the jersey
  • Traditional Astronaut ID Tag on the upper right chest
  • American flag on the front of the waist to celebrate national pride
  • Side panels of jersey are inspired by the Gemini Program that helped NASA prepare for the Apollo moon landings
  • Vertical brand identifiers on the shorts to resemble a rocket launch

The City Edition uniform will be worn on every Saturday during the regular season (both home and away). They will debut on Nov. 30 against the Atlanta Hawk at the Toyota Center.
