Lakers to wear Elgin Baylor-inspired “Lore Series” City Edition Uniform

On Friday, the Los Angeles Lakers officially introduced two new uniforms the team will wear this upcoming season.

Continuing their “Lore Series”, this season’s City Edition uniform was dedicated and designed by Lakers legend Elgin Baylon. The new white uniform incorporates elements from the Showtime era Lakers but recolored in the Minneapolis Lakers light blue and gray.

Los Angeles began wearing the “Lore Series” uniform during the 2017-18 season with Kobe Bryant’s Black Mamba uniform. The following year Magic Johnson designed his uniform and then last year with Shaquille O’Neal.

Also unveiled was the Lakers Hardwood Classic uniform to celebrate 60 years in Los Angeles. The blue throwback threads were based on the uniform the Lakers worn in 1960, their first year in California, and features a script “Los Angeles” wordmark across the chest.
