In celebration of the 150th anniversary of college football, the Maryland Terrapin will honor the 1980’s teams and wear throwback uniforms on Nov. 2 when they host Michigan on homecoming.
The throwback uniform features the script Terps logo on the helmets and pants. The jersey will have faux-mesh details on the numbers on Under Armour’s latest uniform template, ArmourGrid. The jersey also features the classic black, white and gold striping on the sleeves.
“I was raised on the Terps script,” said head coach Michael Locksley. “I fell in love with the teams that donned those uniforms. I remember watching guys like Boomer (Esiason) and Frank Reich guiding the Terps in those uniforms. I know our team will be excited to bring that back for homecoming.”
