Spurs bring back Fiesta colors for City Edition uniform

The San Antonio Spurs unveiled their new Nike City Edition uniform on Friday and for the first time in team history, the Spurs will wear their iconic Fiesta colors on a uniform.

The black uniform features the Spurs’ teal, pink and orange Fiesta colors in diagonal stripes across the chest. Above the stripes is “San Antonio” in an old school script font and a spur marking the dot in the “i”. This is the first time “San Antonio” has been on the front of a Spurs jersey since 1989. A Fiesta-colored tribal design was placed above the jock tag.

Vertical Fiesta stripes don each side of the shorts from top to bottom with the Spurs primary logo at the base of the right leg.

The Spurs originally used the Fiesta colors on their primary logo from 1989 to 2002 and on their warmups from 1989 to 1997.

San Antonio will also show off a matching court to go with the new uniform in the coming days.
