On Wednesday, the UNLV football program unveiled the team’s new uniforms as they are set to play their home games in the state-of-the-art Allegiant Stadium.

Recently hired head coach Marcus Arroyo, Oregon’s offensive coordinator last season, went to work this offseason with Nike to create a new lineup of uniform combinations.

The new jerseys feature “Rebels” across the chest in the school’s custom font. The numbers on the shoulders have been moved down to the sleeves, replacing the “HeyReb!” logo. The arched UNLV logo appears at the front right hip of the pants, but the pants don’t feature any stripes or other designs.

The Rebels’ arched UNLV logo remains on the helmet but the team has moved from a silver helmet shell to anthracite (dark gray) as their primary helmet. In addition to their anthracite and matte black helmets, UNLV has also added a cherry-gloss “Rebel Red” helmet and, for the first time in school history, a white helmet. According to the school, UNLV is one of only 11 schools of the 130-member FBS teams to have never worn a white helmet in a game.

Black, red, chrome and white facemask options are available to mix and match with the shells.

“Everything we do in this program, including how we present ourselves, has meaning,” said Arroyo. “The same is true of our uniform choices. The anthracite gray continues the use of a primary school color and is a reminder that we represent the University, faculty and staff, all current and former students – and particularly former players. It’s a constant reminder of who we are as a Rebel family.”
