On Monday, the Nebraska Cornhuskers unveiled their “Blackshirts” alternate uniform for the 2019 season.
The black jersey was inspired by the black jerseys the Huskers’ first-team defense wore during practice. The alternate uniform resembles Nebraska’s usual design but swapping red for black in most cases. The uniform features the classic Blackshirt skull and crossbones logo on the sleeves instead of stripes.
It’s unclear at this time when Nebraska will wear the “Blackshirts” alternate uniform during the season.
This will be the third time Nebraska will wear a black alternate uniform. The first appearance came in 2013 vs UCLA and the second appearance came in 2015 vs Northwestern.
