Bucks unveil Great Lakes-inspired City Editon uniform

On Tuesday, the Milwaukee Bucks revealed the team’s first blue uniform in franchise history for their 2020-21 Nike City Edition uniform.

Joining the team’s color scheme in 2015, “Great Lakes Blue” takes center stage with this new uniform to pay homage to Milwaukee’s meaning as “the gathering place by the water”. In addition to the “Great Lakes Blue”, two other shades of blue are used on the uniform to represent the three rivers that run through the city, as well as the depths of Lake Michigan. “Milwaukee” is stitched across the chest over the lightest shade of blue while the white numbers are treated with a special coating to give the illusion that they’re wet when reflected in the light. Above the jock tag is the phrase “Gathering Place”.

On the shorts is “Milwaukee” on the side of the right leg and the Bucks’ secondary state logo on the left leg. At the front of the waistband are the water outlines from the state logo, showcasing the three bodies of water that border the state of Wisconsin (Lake Michigan, Lake Superior and the Mississippi River/St Croix River).
