On Tuesday, the Orlando Magic unveiled the latest iteration of their City Edition uniform. This season’s version continues the orange/citrus theme that began last year by using orange pinstripes from top to bottom and featuring the city abbreviation, “ORL”, across the chest in orange.
The Magic’s orange theme comes from Orlando’s (and all of Florida) famous sunshine and citrus.
“From its very early beginnings, orange has been a part of Orlando – from sunshine, to orange groves to Orange County to Orange Ave., it’s the color thread that intertwines the fabric of this city, its people and this team.”
To pay homage to the Magic’s original uniform design, the new City Edition uniform uses the team’s first font for “ORL” and places their classic star on the front.
This new uniform is one of five uniforms the Magic will wear this upcoming season. The team will unveil their new Earned Edition uniform at a later date.
