On Monday, the Sacramento Kings officially released all the details of their latest City Edition uniform after previewing the uniform last week.

“Every year, we evolve the City Edition jerseys to continue to pay homage to our proud past, honor our devoted fans and share our excitement for our proud future,” said Sacramento Kings President of Business Operations John Rinehart. “These uniforms weave together elements found in some of our fan’s favorite Kings uniforms to provide a sense of nostalgia with a twist.”

The new uniform takes inspiration from four previous Kings’ uniforms, including last season’s red City Edition uniform, their 1994-2002 black road uniform, their 1994-97 checker alternate uniform and their 1985-90 baby blue road uniform.

The black uniform features “Sactown” across the chest and red and baby blue trim throughout the uniform. A subtle gray and black checkered pattern appears down the sides of the uniform. The Kings’ lion basketball secondary logo is displayed at the bottom of the shorts. Lastly, the team’s mantra “Sacramento Proud” is stitched above the jock tag.
