On Saturday against Clemson, the Louisville Cardinals men’s basketball team will wear 1974-75 throwback uniforms to honor the 1975 team that advanced to the Final Four.
On the 45th anniversary, the 1974-75 team will be honored at halftime of the game. With a 28-3 record, this was the third team in Louisville’s history that reached a Final Four. The Cardinals lost 75-74 in overtime to top-ranked and eventual champion UCLA in the semifinal game.
The white throwback uniform features a black wordmark and numbers outlined in red. The side panels, which run down the jersey and shorts, are red with black trim. Also featured is a retro cardinal logo on the left leg of the shorts. The Adidas and ACC logos are the only details that prevent this look from being an exact replica.
