On Friday, the Eastern Michigan Eagles unveiled their new football uniforms for the 2019 season. The new uniforms were designed to incorporate the school’s traditional green color with the diamond plate/steel look from their previous uniforms.
The most noticeable change in EMU’s new uniforms is the adidas Primeknit A1 uniform template which features a ribbed knit pattern on the chest and shoulders, instead of the tire-tread look of the previous TechFit template.
The new jersey features a diamond plate “E” on the collar and reflective silver “steel” numbers. The sleeve stripe now includes a reflective silver center stripe, which will match with the helmet stripe and socks.
EMU’s helmet stripe is now thicker with diamond plate “E” decals on each side. Also, the helmet will include 3D bumpers with the words “Eastern” and “Eagles” on the front and back, respectively. The facemasks will continue to have steel/nickel color.
For 2019, the uniform will also feature the commemorative CFB150 patch.
