Wisconsin and Northwestern to wear fauxback uniforms

On Tuesday, both Wisconsin and Northwestern unveiled their new fauxback uniforms for their match-up on Sept. 28. The uniforms, part of Under Armour’s “School Heritage” line with 11 other schools, are designed to mimic the style of old school college football uniforms.

The red (cardinal) Badgers uniforms feature “UW” on the chest and a rounded number font. While their khaki-style pants feature a red “W” within a red circle. The sides of Wisconsin’s helmet features the same style “UW” that is on the chest and a single red stripe down the middle. Also, the Badgers’ gloves feature the “W” within a circle.

Northwestern’s uniform has a very similar design to Wisconsin’s. Like the Badgers’ uniform, the Wildcats’ uniform has their school’s abbreviation (NU) on the chest and helmet. Unlike Wisconsin, Northwestern will not wear khaki-style pants. The Wildcats’ pants will be purple with a white “N” on the upper thigh. Northwestern will also have new gloves for this match-up which feature the Wildcats’ primary logo from 1959-67.
