Cincinnati Bearcats unveil updated football uniforms

The Cincinnati Bearcats unveiled their updated football uniforms for the 2019 season on Wednesday night. The new uniforms feature Under Armour’s latest football uniform template “ArmourGrid”.

The biggest difference from Cincinnati’s previous uniform, besides the template, is moving the “Cincinnati Stripe” from the sleeves to the upper chest area, near the conference and Under Armour patches, and increasing the size of the CPAW logo on the sleeves. Cincinnati removed the “Cincinnati Stripe” from their helmets in 2018.

The Under Armour jerseys feature many performance innovations, including improved Air Vent Armour Grid, stretch mesh ventilation, improved fit, belt-length cut with elastic hems and lightweight team embellishment.

The ArmourGrid uniforms, inspired by a military parachute, claim to be durable, lightweight and virtually impossible to grab. (Under Armour also claimed this in 2015 when they released an earlier version of the ArmourGrid template.)

The Bearcats will be one of only five FBS teams who will wear the ArmourGrid uniforms in 2019 (Auburn, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Wisconsin).
