After 10 years with Under Armour, Temple University announced that Nike will become the official outfitter of Temple Owls Athletics beginning in July 2020.
“We are very excited about our new partnership with Nike, the leading apparel company of collegiate athletics, “said Dr. Patrick Kraft, Temple Director of Athletics. “We look forward to working together in this partnership to enhance the Temple and Nike brands.
The three-year contract provides athletic footwear, apparel and accessories to all of Temple’s 19 varsity sports.
Temple and Under Armour agreed to a 10-year extension in 2015. According to Darren Rovell, Under Armour backed out of the deal with six years left, letting Nike reach an agreement with the Philadelphia school.
After the 2018 college football season, Temple won our uniform of the year award. The Under Armour uniform was designed by then-head coach Geoff Collins.
