On Wednesday, the Texas Rangers unveiled their new Nike uniforms and the dimensions of their new ballpark, which honor iconic Rangers.
With the team moving across the road to Globe Life Field and the switch to Nike, the Rangers felt it was as good as a time as ever to refresh their brand with updated secondary logos and new uniforms.
“Obviously, this is a new era in Rangers baseball,” Rangers executive vice president, chief revenue and marketing officer Joe Januszewski said. “We really wanted to take advantage of all we have going on with the beautiful Globe Life Field and make sure we mark it with some tweaks in the evolution of our brand.”
The Rangers will enter 2020 with six new uniforms; three home, two away and one Spring Training. The new uniforms are a mix of old and new with the addition of a script wordmark and a new powder blue uniform.
Texas’ home white jersey features the return of the script “Rangers” on the front for the first time since 1993. It will also mark the first time that “Rangers” has appeared on the home jersey since 2008. The uniform also features blue lettering and numbers with a red drop shadow. The white uniform is completed with blue and red piping on the sleeves and pants.
