On Monday, the Illinois Fighting Illini debuted a new throwback uniform for their B1G/ACC Challange game against Miami. The throwback uniform, which was inspired by the team’s look from 1975-1980, features a script “Illinois” across the chest and diamond trim on the shorts with the current “Block I” logo.
This is Illinois’ fifth uniform the team will wear this season. The Fighting Illini also have updated white, orange and navy current uniforms and an orange 1989 Flyin’ Illini throwback uniform for the 2019-20 season. The Flyin’ Illini uniform is the only returning uniform from last season.
