On Saturday, the reigning Stanley Cup champions, St. Louis Blues, unveiled a throwback uniform they will be wearing for three home games during the 2019-20 season.
The Blues’ throwback uniform, originally worn from 1995-1998, features five diagonal gold stripes across the body and sleeves of the royal blue jersey. The jersey also features the retro trumpet logo on each shoulder.
“I’ve been wanting to wear this for a long time. That was a fun era,” Blues player Alexander Steen said. “I love the design, I think it’s awesome. I grew up in this era, so it’s a little more nostalgic for me. That team the Blues had in the 90’s, that’s what I see when I see this jersey.”
The throwback uniform will be worn at the Enterprise Center on Nov. 21 vs the Calgary Flames, Feb. 27 vs the New York Islanders and March 31 vs the Detroit Red Wings.
