To celebrate their 50th anniversary, the Buffalo Sabres will be wearing a new sweater they’re calling their “Golden Jersey”. The “Golden Jersey”, which pays homage to the Sabres’ past, will be worn for 13 home games throughout the season.
The white jersey features their iconic logo on the front in fluorescent gold and navy blue. The sleeves and the bottom of the jersey have five stripes representing the decades embroidered on them. On the inner neckline, there are logos throughout the team’s history. The uniform also features white gloves and navy pants to complete the look.
Lastly, this will be the final season the Sabres will be wearing their current navy uniforms. Buffalo will return to royal blue as their primary color beginning in the 2020-21 season.
