UPDATE: ALL 32 SPOTS FOR THE TOURNAMENT ARE FULL AND WE HAVE 10+ SUBSTITUTES
Please fill out the form below to sign up for the 2019 NFL uniform redesign tournament. The tournament is “first come, first serve”, so the first 32 entries will be in the tournament. Anyone that signs up after the first 32 will be substitutes. The rules of the contest are listed below the sign-up form.
This form is disabled.
Rules
Design & Template
– Everyone will be sent the same jersey style for the template. The two defaults will be an .Ai file and a .Psd file.
– Please do not change the size or location of any piece of the template. Do not add your name or add any design to your image. Just design the jersey and the other equipment. This will make it easier to make the matchup graphics.
– You must redesign the team’s current look. You cannot send in the team’s current uniform or any past uniform. You must create something the team has never worn. You can use inspiration from past designs and fuse it together with current designs but absolutely no replicas or direct throwbacks to what a team has previously worn.
– Please save your file as a .PNG preferably with a transparent background. Please leave the file size the same too.
– You CAN redesign the team’s logo if you would like, but you DO NOT have to. If the team you receive has a logo that you don’t like, feel free to redesign a logo or secondary logo.
– No specialty logos (so no anniversary patches or event patches)
– If you’re using a logo someone else made, please provide us their written consent (e-mail, message on Instagram, Twitter) and their name and how to reach them. So we can credit them correctly. If we find out that used someone else’s logo without their permission, you could be banned from future contests.
– Feel free to remove, add or completely change the team’s color scheme if you believe there is a better one out there for them.
– Design a home uniform (dark) AND an away uniform (white). No single uniforms or added alternate uniforms.
– All entries must have a Number (on the front, back, and sleeves or shoulders) and a Name on the back. EVERY ENTRY should have the name say “MADNESS” and the number ‘19’. This eliminates any other way someone can be identified from the uniform and keeps everything consistent throughout the tournament.
– Send all entries to uniformmadnesscontests@gmail.com with the Subject Tag “Uniform Madness Submission: *Your Name*”
Voting and Sharing
– Please refrain from sharing designs with anyone. If you want feedback on a design, try to keep it with a designer taking place in this tournament or with us. Remember, we’re trying to keep our designs anonymous from voters.
– Once your uniform design is submitted you cannot make any changes. Your submission is final.
– Feel free to share any posts from the social media accounts @Uni_Madness.
– If you do share a tweet for the voting process, please do not advertise yourself or ask people to vote for you. You may be disqualified if you promote your design.
– This one is just a sportsman-like gesture; do not vote for yourself just because you are you. Do not just vote for a friend. Vote for what you genuinely think is the best uniform out of the two facing off against each other.
Your Team
– Your team will be randomly assigned to you on this date: August 14th.
– Your entry must be submitted to uniformmadnesscontests@gmail.com by this date: August 31st at 11:59PM EST.
– ANY SUBMISSIONS THAT ARE LATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!
– The TEAM NAME has to remain the same. If you get the Chicago Bears, the design has to be for the Chicago Bears. You cannot move your team or change their city/mascot.
– Once you get your team, that is your team. No trading teams with other participants.
As always, any questions that are not answered here, please contact us by email or Twitter. Any ideas or rules you think should be added, let us know and we’ll decide whether or not to add them. ONCE ALL UNIFORMS HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED, THERE IS NO GOING BACK TO CHANGE YOUR DESIGN.
This list of rules is subject to change at any time. Any changes will be emailed to participants and posted on social media.
